How can I send email to a Verizon phone?

I have a HTC EVO phone of at&t connection. I reside in New York. I have a friend who reside in California. His phone connection is Verizon. I do not know the model but it is a internet enabled model. I have to send him a mail. I want to know how can I send him a mail from my HTC EVO phone of at&t connection to his Verizon phone. Please tell me each and every step in a detailed manner.

You can definitely send and receive email from your cell phone and even from all new cell phones. Even AT&T provides this service for its users. Existing customers of AT&T including those who are new to AT&T, use the provider's standard email address naming system.

Cingular customers even at the time when AT&T merged with it continued to provide this facility to its users and after the merge was done even AT&T users had the pleasure to send and receive e-mail from their cell phones. If you have AT&T as your network and you need to send e-mail you can do it following the given steps-

Launch your email program on your HTC EVO.

Open a new email message or select a message to forward.

Type the recipient's email address into the "To" using the following format for AT&T addresses: 10-digit mobilenumber@txt.att.net (for example, (724) 555-9876 is 7245559876@txt.att.net).

But in your case as you have to send the email to a Verizon network phone, therefore you need to follow the following format- phonenumber@vtext.com, where phone number = your 10 digit phone number. These email addresses will work from any typical email client.

Just click once on the "Send" button, just when you are ready to send your e-mail.

Sometimes you get bounce messages in your inbox which means that you need to resend your message. These are also typically called "mailer daemons." If you receive one, make sure you typed the address in correct.
