The Hiptop of U.S. producer Danger is a GPRS phone with features as they are known otherwise from a PDA with Internet functions: e-mail reception, HTML web browser, instant messaging client, server, terminal adapter (SSH) and others. A special feature of the system is that a lot of data and media files may not, as usual, are stored in the device, but over the cellular network to the servers of the service provider. Hackers took advantage of this peculiarity in 2005 and a vulnerability to hack into the account of Paris Hilton and publish it to stored phone numbers and photos on the Internet.

In Germany, the Hiptop ( Sidekick, the marketing name of T-Mobile) has been marketed since 2003 by the mobile operator E-Plus, together with an Internet flat rate. The enhanced successor version Hiptop 2 was available in April 2005 in Germany at E-Plus. The new version differs from its predecessor mainly by an integrated camera and the improved processing, which has been criticized frequently in the old version. The Hiptop 2 was from July 2005 available at T-Mobile Sidekick II, but in contrast to E-Pluswith 30 MB of free data volume tariff instead of a flat rate. However, this rate was the end of 2006 compared to a flat rate, there was not charged by then a further amount of traffic.
Since 2006, a flat rate surcharge of 10 € for the Sidekick from T-Mobile was available.

End of 2009 the service was discontinued in Germany. There by lost all their data, such as German users Photos, contacts, emails, including e-mail accounts - if they no longer possessed the device. The data were not available before setting on a site of T-Mobile, with which the data could be downloaded.
The main character in the video game Midnight Club: Los Angeles has a T-Mobile Sidekick.

I think you should buy this cell phone.
