Is Siri, the virtual iPhone assistant, in only iPhone 4S? Can it work for iOS 5?

Recently, the launch of iOS 5 with iPhone 4S was announced. Siri was also unveiled at that event which can perform all tasks by voice recognition. Is this Siri, the virtual iPhone assistant, feature available only in iPhone 4S or it can also work for the new software update of iOS 5? I would really appreciate if someone can assist me on this. I hope to hear real soon from you guys out there. Thanks.

iPhone 4s is the latest iteration among the iPhone saga of Apple dynasty. It is simply an iPhone 4 with Siri and an 8 megapixel camera. Siri is an amazing feature which assists you virtually with everything. It uses voice recognition and you can use it to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls, search information over and much more. Remember you need internet access to use Siri.

However, your assumption is true. Presently Siri works only with iPhone 4s, not even with iPad 2 or the new iPod touch with A5 chip. iOS 5 has many remarkable new features but unfortunately does not gives access to Siri in any of the Apple iOS products.

Apple has not announced anything about Siri support in other devices as of yet in the near future. May be Siri is used to promote iPhone 4s marketing presently, and later become available for all other devices running iOS 5.

If you already have an iPhone 4 or other iOS mobile device then I would suggest upgrading to iOS 5. You won’t get Siri but a myriad of other features. However, if you are looking to get an iPhone 4s just for Siri, learn more about Siri from here http://www.apple.com/iphone/features/siri.html . Additionally, you get an 8 megapixel camera, a dual core A5 chip and iPhone 4s also supports Airplay Mirroring.
