Why is my Sony Ericsson W580I not working?

I have Sony Ericsson Phone W580i. Whenever any BSNL/MTNL/Docomo SIM is inserted in it, it does not recognize it. However Airtel and Idea SIM are working in this phone my Sony Ericsson w580i is also not powering on. I lost my power button few days ago and I opened my back panel and tried to power on by using tooth stick by pressing small button. Somehow I broke that one too. Is there any other way to power on my device for few minutes only, I need to copy all contacts from phone to sim? Please help

It's really painful, but I would like to suggest you some helpful tips for turning your phone on normally. You have to be certain to attempt each one to resolve the nature of the problem.

Initially, make sure your battery is fully charged otherwise, it will take up to 30 minutes to charge. Push the On/off key for a minimum of 10 seconds to turn the phone on.

In case your phone has a memory card, remove it and attempt to turn the phone on, then you might require another memory card.

Sometime, the problem rises due to the dust, dirt and decaying of the connectors on both the battery and the phone. You can clean the connectors with a soft brush, cloth or q-tip dampens with any type of unflavored, colorless alcohol. Check the phone accessories are completely dry then you insert the battery in the phone.

In addition, ensure for harm to the connectors of the phone. If you have a new Sony Ericsson battery and your phone displays an unfamiliar battery message, cleaning the battery may help you correct the problem.

If probable, try another battery in your phone. If the phone turns on, you might have to arrange for a new battery. Previous to restoring your battery, make certain that your charger works appropriately.

I hope this will help you out. Otherwise you can visit: www.sonyericsson.com/ support.
