Star 67 on cell phones?

I have to know about the star 67 service on my cell phone. As I have heard that if I dial a number with star 67 to the other cell phone, my number would not be displayed on the other cell phone, do you agree with the points? If you have also heard about it, please suggest me, because it is very important for me. I don’t want my cell phone number be displayed on some selected cell phones, so please post your comments on the point ‘star 67 on cell phones’. thanks for your help.
