How to uninstall Mozilla Firefox?

First of all let's discuss about uninstalling Mozilla Firefox from your computer. You were initially right to go to the control panel. But after that no such option comes as "programs and features". Follow this path "start>control panel>Add or Remove Programs>Change or Remove Programs". Then wait for the computer to track the programs already installed on it's hard disk. After the list appears on the screen, find Mozilla Firefox and click on the "Uninstall" tab. You will be provided with an uninstall wizard which will guide you easily to successfully uninstall the program. You can alternatively remove this program in the following way. This process is a bit unconventional but works well in such peculiar cases. Just follow the path: "c:/>program files>Mozilla Firefox" (if c: is your default program installation partition). Click on the folder and press "shift+del" (Make sure that Mozilla Firefox is not running).

Now to speed up your computer and speed it up, you can always try "spy doctor" and "registry mechanic". But these don't work to that extent always. Many essential programs, system files and registries once corrupted by viral attacks aren't so easy to recover even by eminent antivirus/ anti spyware programs.  In such case it will be better if you go for a fresh installation of your operating system using a Bootable Operating System Disk (Don't go for entire system format..instead format the partition having the operating system mounted on it). This will surely boost up your system operating speed.
