How to update Samsung epic 4g?

Hi all, can someone tell me that how to update Samsung epic 4g?As I have gone through many sites and followed many procedure from there but none of the worked for me. However, even I was not even able to understand those procedures properly as few of the things were like jargons to me. So, can any one here tell me what I have to do to update Samsung epic 4g in my computer, kindly keep it simple and give me a step by step procedure so that I can easily update it without making any wrong attempt. Your help will really be appreciated and I am waiting for your answers.

I have simple solution to your problem just follow what I am saying and it might help you instantly. So, plug in your device, you should get an option in Notifications bar to "mount USB storage" -do that. Then you'll see the Epic 4G's internal storage has been mounted on your computer. From there you can copy-paste the update.zip to your device. If you don't see that option in your notifications bar, try going into settings >Applications > and enable USB debugging. Then plug in your device and you can pull down the notifications bar and see Mount USB Storage. And this will help you in updating your cell phone easily.
