What is the release date of Verizon iPhone?

The release date of the iPhone 4 on the Verizon network was February 2011. Since the iPhone’s launch in 2007 the phone was exclusively available on AT & T’s network. Over the years the high volume of data usage on iPhone’s and bandwidth requirements had caused numerous problems for the AT & T network.

There was need for another network to enter the foray. Doubts have been raised by AT & T and the general mobile industry about Verizon’s ability to handle the high data volumes that is bound to come along with the iPhone. Verizon have pointed out the fact that the Motorola Droid, which is known to be more data hungry than an iPhone, operates smoothly on the Verizon network. But the question here is, are the number of Droid’s on Verizon even remotely comparable to the number of iPhone’s on AT & T?

The Verizon iPhone has been designed specifically for the network and has the capability to connect to a CDMA network. The other features are intact in the Verizon iPhone. The 16GB version is available at $200, with a two-year package, which includes activation and data usage. The 32GB version is priced at $300 and also comes with a two-year deal. One unique aspect to the Verizon iPhone is the fact that it can be double up as a mobile hotspot.
