The big news is "Vonage World" with unlimited calls worldwide over 60 countries, covering 2 / 3 of world population (4.5 million) - all for $ 24.99/month.

As an aside I also asked if Vonage is working on an application for the iPhone. He said he was in the works, but could not comment further. I was going to blog about it again at 19, but went to work to prepare ITEXPO. Speaking of which, I am using this blog GoGo Wireless Virgin America. Too bad that is not free. It was $ 12.95, which was almost the same price ($ 15) I had to pay for a single bag. What happened to the first bag is free?
Sources have revealed that Vonage has submittd your application to Apple.

Having an application for the iPhone world with Vonage Vonage World is $ 24.99 unlimited plan might be a killer app that gives Vonage a shot in the arm. Imagine a SIP client on the iPhone that lets you call 60 countries - 2 / 3 of the world - as much as you want for only $ 24.99/month. Combine the large user base of iPhone users and the millions of Vonage users and what could be the most widely deployed WiFi VoIP phone on the planet! Forget about buying the independent Wi-Fi SIP or Skype phones which is another device that has to carry.

Current SIP client called Vonage Companion Vonage has a unique technology that allows you to "share" the same SIP credentials ATA device connected to your wireless phone system at home. Therefore, it can accept an incoming call on the Vonage Companion PC or answer the call using your regular analog phone connected to the ATA supports SIP. I discussed this single identity for multiple SIP devices with Vonage last year.

In mid 2008 the interview I had with Mary Grikos, CEO of Vonage Device Development asked, "What kind of technical challenges you had with the same CallerID and the same phone number? Obviously are taking advantage of SIP and the ATA that sits on the home residence is connected to a set of SIP credentials and Vonage companion records with different SIP credentials, but is assigned in the back-end for the same phone number. "

Mary said: "That's really a good question because actually had to put almost an entirely new infrastructure in place with a lot of new equipment. And we actually have powers that are dedicated to partner to handle calls. We make the difference between the home credential technical assistance and we DID flag Companion. In this way we know, as you said in the back end is all planned and we know where the call originated. We know that if a call originates from partner front from the TA. "Mary continued:" That was a great job for our team of call processing. They had to do a lot of work to configure the system and all dismissals and mapping. It was a pretty big effort, but it's something because we were committed by an overwhelming request our clients to implement a feature like that.
